Perhaps you’re the sort who abhors “Christmas creep” and can’t bear to think of presents and garland until the Thanksgiving turkey’s been reduced to leftovers. If that’s the case, you may wish to make an exception this weekend, and do a bit of early shopping at the Junior League of Chicago‘s 38th annual Gazebo Holiday Market. Vendors in previous years have included luxury chocolatiers, soaps, stationary, home gifts, clothing and accessories, children items and more. A portion of all sales benefit the JLC’s programs, which empower at-risk women and children through mentoring, advocacy, and education. Amounts purchased in excess of $30 are tax deductible.

When: 1) Preview Party on Thursday, November 19th from 6pm – 10pm. (Tickets $50 in advance and $75 at the door.) Enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music, raffle and over 30 market merchants. Preview Party attendees receive free admission to the market, all weekend.
2) Gazebo Market on Friday, November 20th from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday, November 21st 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door.
